The City offers two types of residential trash service to customers, a Cart service and a green bag service. Customers have a variety of volume based levels available to them at a price reflective of the volume level selected by the customer. Commercial customers also have a variety of collection options including 1.5 and 3 yard dumpster service.
Bulky Items and Yard Waste Service is available as a special pickup. There is a charge for yard waste pickup, do not use your green trash bags for this.
Your yard waste must be in biodegradable bags (usually labeled "Lawn" or "Yard" bag resembling a large paper grocery bag). These paper lawn bags are available at the local hardware store or Wal-Mart.
You will need to purchase leaves/grass clipping stickers at the water department for $2.00 per sticker. After your yard waste is properly bagged, call the Water Department to have it picked up. Only leaves and grass in 30-gallon waste bags with stickers will be collected. Tree limbs, branches and other brushy waste will not be collected. Leaves still attached to branches will be considered branches and not picked up.
